A friend from Calgary was visiting Victoria and, when presenting her driver’s license for boarding the agent noticed it was out of date, the friend had forgotten to renew. Alberta does not advise holders when renewals are due; consequently the agent refused boarding without any other government document with a photo. The agent suggested the friend nip along to get a fishing license, which has a photo on it. Boarding was effected upon the presentation of the fishing license. |
