It can be reached via a network of motorways, dual carriageways and main roads. Travellers by car from Belfast reach the airport by travelling north on the M2 motorway, turning off at junction 5 and thence via A57 for 7 miles to the airport. From the north and north-west the route is easiest found by coming south on the M2 again to junction 5. Travellers from the south and west of the province can avoid Belfast traffic by taking the Moira junction on the M1 motorway and thereby the A26 and Nutts Corner to Belfast International Airport. There is a regular Airbus to and from Belfast city centre running every 30 minutes, Monday to Saturday and every 30 or 60 minutes on Sunday. Single Fare - UKP 3.50 (CA$7.25) Return Fare - UKP 6.00 (CA$12.50) From the airport the vehicle will stop to set down passengers on request at Templepatrick, the Chimney Corner Inn, Sandyknowes Roundabout, Oxford Street Bus Station and the Central Railway Station as well as the Departure Terminal at Glengall Street (Europe Buscentre). Travellers to the airport should board at Glengall Street. On arrival at Belfast International Airport, passengers can disembark immediately in front of the passenger terminal entrance, where baggage trolleys are available. The Royal Mail operates an evening return service (Monday to Friday) for people travelling between Enniskillen and the Airport. Official airport taxis are available for hire outside the arrivals building. Only taxis approved by the Airport Authority are permitted to use the taxi rank and the standards of service and insurance cover are carefully monitored. Fares to various destinations are available on request at the Information Desk or from the destination list at the exit from the Terminal. The nearest railway station is 6 miles from the airport in Antrim. There are connections to Belfast, Lisburn and Londonderry. Trains to and from Dublin are via Belfast Central Station, which has its own Airbus stop. A rail timetable is on display at the main exit from the Terminal or details can be obtained by asking Information Desk staff. The airport may be reached by taxi from Antrim Station - journey cost is approximately UKP 7.80. (CA$ 16.25). -=o0o=- . Following news provided by Holly Ross Better late than never but the Pionairs Curling Bonspeil was a big success (sounds like I'm blowing my own horn eh!!). We had a total of 8 teams. 2 YWG, 2 interior BC., one from YYZ area, 2 YYC, 1 YEG and Bill Sim from YUL. Alf Berting from YWG was the overall winner but we had one of the interior teams enter thru the lottery. Next year's locale is a question mark at this time but I will let you know when it is decided. This was the fourth year we have had the event in YYC. We wanted to revive Pionair curling from only 2 teams participating in the playdown. It is interesting to note that as little as five-six years ago the Pionairs had trouble getting one team for the system event. This year we had two full teams of Pionairs plus the YYJ group representing YYJ station. Hopefully someone will change the bylaws to allow for two Pionair teams.' .
