Gail Bennett responded to the photo in NetLetter #1500 - So pleased to see a photo of the Georgetown Girls Pipe Band at Toronto. I have a newspaper photo of the band posing on the stairs up to the aircraft. This was before my time but I was a member for almost 50 years. The band, formed in 1942, dropped "Girls" in 1996 and is still performing today. By the way, my husband, Keith Bennett, was a cargo agent for 30+ years in Toronto. |
