. Bob Affleck sends us his bio -
Hi:
Joined TCA in YWG Sep, 1941 as a Radio Operator.  After a couple of
weeks training I was sent to YOW.
-  March, 1943 I took leave of absence and joined the RCNVR.  Served on
the frigate HMCS Outremont for 2 years, based in Londonderry, Ireland.
-  Discharged in 1946 and returned to TCA.  Almost quit when they told me
they would like me to go to Gander as a Radio Operator in the CGTAS
communications.  However the future promise to go flying on the Atlantic
overcame my other objections.  Spent 1 mos in Gander and 6 mos in Goose Bay
where I first met Bill Willows.
-  1946. - Spent 8 years as Flight Radio Officer CGTAS flying between
YUL-PWK and YUL-LON on converted Lancasters and North Star Aircraft.
With the the arrival of the Super Connies FRO's became redundant and time
to look for a new job.
-  1954 - Started a new career as Sales Rep in CLE.
-  1965-1970 - Sales Manager, Buffalo.
-  1970-1974 - Sales Manager, Chicago
-  1974-1979 - District Manager, Chicago
-  1979-1983 - District Manager, Houston
-  1983 - Retired in Kingwood, TX  (suburb of Houston)
I have been married for 38 years to an ex TCA girl, named Mary Ann, whom
I met in CLE.  We have lived in Kingwood now for 19 years and have two
lovely daughters, Kristen and Meaghan.

. Terry's Travel Tips.
In an effort to reduce vehicular traffic at London Heathrow Airport,
local hotel shuttle busses are banned, instead a bus will service the
local hotels. Called the Hotel Hopper, they run every 15 minutes and
cost UKP2.00 one way and UKP3.50 return. The hotels served are -
Holiday Inn, Crown Plaza, Novatel, Forte Crest, Sheraton Heathrow,
Excelsior, Radisson, Post House, Remada, Sheraton Skyline and
Heathrow Park.

. Smilie.
From: Bob & Betty Anderson
On an airliner, the flight attendant made the following announcement:
"We are now going to show you a safety video.  There may be fifty ways to
leave your lover but there are only six ways to leave a 767,
so pay attention!"

Terry, your co-pilot, would like to know if Wilbur and Orville were the
first to pilot an aircraft with 'fly-by-wire'!
