WHAT’S ON AND WHERE?

30/09/99

Just a reminder that Tuesday, October 5th will be the start of our 2nd
year of "schmoozing". The first year we had up to 260 retirees and
phase-ins join in for some fun and laughter. We still meet the first
Tuesday of each month at 1100hr at the Golden Griddle, Airport Road,
Toronto. And someone will win a $20 food voucher for any Golden Griddle
restaurant. See you there!Sheila Moscoe

COMMENTS BETWEEN YOURSELVES

This is a terrific website! I'm so glad I saw your notice in Horizons.
If there are any other Flight Attendants with you who have retired
since November 1, 1998, I'd love to hear from them concerning any
information they've received about their 'package'. I'll look forward
to all of your newsletters and renewing contacts with my past.

RAPCAN
*** EU Rejects American Airlines / Sabre Complaint Against Amadeus

MADRID, Spain--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 28, 1999--
The European Commission's Directorate General for Competition (DG-IV)
has declared that it intends to close a 28-month investigation against
Amadeus following a complaint filed by American Airlines and Sabre in
early 1997 with the US Department of Justice. American Airlines and
Sabre, the reservation system controlled by American's parent company,
AMR, had accused Amadeus of exclusionary conduct which did not allow
Sabre to compete in Europe.

Under the section 'computer news' you mentioned computer hoaxes. In an
email exchange about that same virus, Tom Grant (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) put
me on to a great site that deals both with real and hoax viruses

SMILIE

This guy called in to complain that he got an "Access Denied" message
every time he tried to log in. It turned out he was typing his username
and password in capital letters.
Tech Support: "Ok, let's try once more, but use lower case letters."
Customer: "Uh, I only have capital letters on my keyboard."

.  That's it for this time, please we need your input, send
comments and email addresses of any others who may be
interested to Vesta with a copy to Terry.
