. Found on the internet.
For you DC9 affectionados -
CF-TLU fin 720 was destroyed by fire during an emrgency landing at
Cinncinatti Airport on June 2nd 1983. The wings were used to repair
a DC9 registration N994Z of Ozark.

Earlier this year, a women travelling on an AirTransat Los Vegas to
Toronto flight could have paid a high price for smoking on board.
After being warned once, the passenger went into the toilet, trashed the
smoke detector and lit-up again. She was arrested upon arrival in
Canada and charged with mischief and damage to an aircraft. The maximum
penalty for such a crime is life imprisonment.

Israel has granted Air Canada's request for an additional three weekly
flights, increasing its service between Tel Aviv and Toronto to a daily
flight. Israel had previously refused Air Canada's request unless Canada
granted El Al the right to prolong its flights to Canada to US
destinations and pick up passengers in the US bound for Israel.

with TCA across the Atlantic on April 15th 1947.

. Smilie.
Brian O'Hare Retired AC YYZ...living in Arizona sends this -
Another by Les
When I was working in Fairbanks, we had sent a speed pak to San Diego
and it got lost.  The lady who sent it called several times to see if I
could find it.  After 2 or 3 days she called and asked "Well, just how
long will it be lost?".  There was a long pause as I contemplated how to
answer this question without inferring that that was a stupid question.
She finally said, "That was a really stupid question wasn't it? If you
knew the answer to that, it wouldn't be lost, would it?".
We found the package the next day in San Diego.
