I know this is a bit hasty, but April 1 is coming fast and my

April 1 being the anniversary of the birth of the RCAF, would any of the
retired members be willing to share a few anecdotes about RCAF service
for use in the ACPA Journal?

. Found on the internet.
Frontier Airlines, operating out of Denver with a fleet of 20 B737's
and will lease 16 Airbus A318/319 in the future, have some interesting
tail fin murals - in contrast to those of British Airways!
Leaping dolphin, Mountain goats, Wild horse, Hummingbird and geese
are some of them.

On December 15th, Continental Airlines received its 58th new Boeing
aircraft in one year - probably a record for any airline.
The aircraft was a Boeing B737-800. The breakdown for the year is
20 B737-700s, 25 B737-800s, 5 B757-200s and 8 B777-200s.
Continental also retired an incredible 61 aircraft - probably another
record in 1999, comprised of 3 B747-200s, 5 DC10-10s, 3 DC10-30s,
27 B727-200s, 3 B737-200s and 20 DC9-31/32s.

Farnborough goes ...
The last Farnborough Airshow will be staged in 2006. The SBAC bows to
the inevitable, recognising that Berlin's location makes it the other
preferred option for most aerospace exhibitors. It will be the end of
an airshow era in Britian.

Pearl Piers sends us this -
Maybe I should pass along comments of our recent trip to Perth,
Western Australia.  If anyone is interested in visiting an absolutely
beautiful city....................miles of white sandy beaches, beautiful
surf; miles of river frontage with walking/biking paths; shopping is great
and no taxes (that is until July 2000 when the GST comes in to effect);
food is GREAT;  people are friendly.
We stayed in Executive Apartments near centre of city for about
$950/week for 3 bedroom condo with pool and all facilities.
And the best thing about it..........Cad dollar is a little better than
their dollar!!
Just thought you might be interested.

. Smilie.
Good reason not to smoke in the lav:
Unusual activity on the ramp at Philadelphia International was causing
departure delays on busy day last fall. A curious pilot investigated and
announced to his passengers that there had been a slight mix-up
involving a neighbouring aircraft. Someone had pumped Jet-A, rather
than blue water, into that aircraft's holding tanks. Passengers were
evacuated while the tanks were drained and flushed.
