Make sure your flight registration reflects the
appropriate boarding priority.
Airport, Call Centre, and Employee Call Centre agents have reported
that a number of active and retired employees are using incorrect
boarding priorities when registering for personal travel.
If the flight you've registered for is operated by your home carrier,
your priority is C2/Y10,
if it's operated by the other carrier, your priority is C4/Y10.
Your co-operation is appreciated.
For details, consult the Employee Travel document sent to your
home in September.
How do I know which carrier is operating the flight?
To ensure you register or book flights using the proper boarding priority,
we suggest you review its flight number.
Canadian Airlines operates the flight sequence AC3000-AC3999,
while Air Canada operates the balance of flights.

. News from the Pionair districts.
From the Okanagan Newsletter issued by Bernie Danis -
Valentine Luncheon and Annual General Meeting
February 14th 2001.
This is the eigth Valentine luncheon and is being held at
Ramada Inn Lodge, Harvey Road, kelowna.
Cost: ca$16.00 per person, or ca$18.00 at the door.
Cash bar: 11:30 - 12:30 with lunch 12:30 to 13:30
and then the General meeting from 13:30 to ......
Guest speaker will be Bill Rowe, the new Pionair pension and benefits rep at
the national level.
The mandate for the present executive will be completed and a new one
will be elected.

Our Summerland Beach/BBQ last June 6th attracted 43 members and guests
for an enjoyable time under the normal sunny skies.
Our New Mission Hill Winery Tour and Oriental Buffet held last Sept 12th was
even more successful attracting 56 members ands guests.
But the BIG BIG event will be the A.G.M. being held in Calgary May 18-19-20th
watch your mailbox in early January for applications and full details.

Ottawa International Airport first received scheduled service from
Trans-Canada Air Lines on April 1st 1939.
Penticton Airport, BC, west of the city, was used by
Trans-Canada Air Lines in 1946.
Canada's first aviation registration G-CAAA was issued in 1919 for
a Curtiss JN-4 owned by Aerial Service Co Ltd in Regina.

Subject: Greetings from SYD
Sheila is presently plying the South Seas, and here is an update -
Well, here we are at Hotel DeVere in Sydney, Australia! Remember that was
the name of the hotel that you had mentioned in the Netletter?
Anyhow, we got here after a wonderful 20 day cruise on the Regal Princess
from BKK. The only snag on the cruise was the news we received in our
stateroom as soon as we got on board was that we could not go to Bali.
The U.S. State Dept., etc.etc. wouldn't let the Americans into Indonesia.
So, instead, we had 2 nites in Singapore, and a stop in Port Kelang for
Kuala Lumpur (which wasn't on our itinerary), then 5 days at sea (instead of 3)
to get to Perth. I didn't mind one bit, but there were a helluva lot of unhappy
campers on the ship.
Anyhow, here we are in Sydney. Got to the hotel and the lobby was full of
other pax from the Regal!!! We didn't like our room, so got another one
(that's a long story). But, for the price of $86.10 AUD, you can't go wrong.
It's a large bright airy room (definitely not the Hilton, if you know what I mean).
But, the location is excellent. King's Cross is right down/up the street.
Train is a 5 min. walk, and the bus is right outside the door to Circular Quay.
So, thanx for the tip.
I'd love to come back again, and do more stuff.
We took the train, monorail, bus, ferry, you name it!
Anyhow, guess I'd better close, the Karaoke just started and I can't concentrate!!!
