. Need to know -
Because Air Canada can't issue Aeroplan tickets nor standby tickets for employees in Sydney, please don't arrange this type of ticket for airport pick up. Ensure employees, parents, and travel partners have all required ticketing before their journey.

Recently, the number of employees, family members, and travel partners who're
not attired in accordance with the Company's dress code has risen.
This creates an awkward situation for Customer Service colleagues at the
airports, and your co-operation is appreciated. Please review the dress code
prior to departure and ensure your travel partners are also aware of the rules.
Failure to comply could leave you grounded because, if Hospitality Service
is full, non-revenue passengers won't be upgraded to Executive First
or Executive Class unless appropriately dressed.
Why take the chance of being denied boarding?

Please advise friends and family members travelling with a partner pass (T171) issued before October 22, 2000 that their travel must be completed by January 31, 2001

Stopover coupon.
To allow for more than a total of six (6) segments both
outbound and/or inbound, upon presentation of a valid trip
pass ticket the Airport Customer Sales and Service Agent will
complete an ACFF21A stopover coupon for any intermediate
stopover and/or connection point and indicate the original
trip pass ticket number on each applicable stopover coupon

In any case, the last coupon of the original trip pass ticket
must be saved for the last segment of the outbound journey
(point of turnaround) - stopover coupons may be issued for
any segments of the inbound journey upon presentation of a
valid trip pass receipt.

Eligibility
T171 - non revenue non self-ticketing trip pass ticket
must be saved for the last segment of the outbound journey
(point of turnaround) - stopover coupons may be issued for
any segments of the inbound journey upon presentation of a
valid trip pass receipt
Eligibility
T171 - non revenue non self-ticketing trip pass ticket
* personal - space available and positive space travel
* parent/partner
T421 - self ticketing personal trip pass ticket

Edmonton events
Our winter luncheon will be held on Sunday, January 28th, at 11:30 at the
Nisku Inn, at a cost of $12.50 per person.
The Nisku Inn is near the International Airport and there is shuttle service to and
from, for anyone who would like to come in for the event and see "old friends".
Our spring luncheon will be at the same location, on 29th April.
We usually have a BBQ in early August but the date has not been finalized,
and a fall luncheon in October or November.
Best for 2001.  Shirley Jay

. Found on the internet.
British Airways lets flyers WAP away the queues
British Airways said recently that it has become the first UK airline to allow
passengers to check in by WAP phone. Frequent flyers can also use the
facility to select a seat from a diagram of the plane and see the expected
departure time if it is delayed.
Using the wireless application protocol (WAP) facility on a mobile phone,
which allows Internet access, means users can bypass airport check-in queues.
The airline said International Business Machines was closely involved in
developing the new facility.

Air Canada must print policy for misbehavior on tickets
Air Canada should suspend its lifetime travel ban on a businessman that it
believed was a danger to its flights and employees, the Canadian
Transportation Agency ruled recently. The agency said Air Canada's decision
was too harsh on the man who "made a scene" on an airplane and in a separate
incident at the Winnipeg International Airport. It also ruled that Air Canada has
90 days to provide details on airline tickets of its policy for misbehaving passengers.

. Smilie.
Margaret Bartlett supplies our smilie -
Fifteen minutes into the flight from Kansas City to Toronto, the
captain announced, "Ladies and gentlemen, one of our engines has
failed. There is nothing to worry about. Our flight will take an hour
longer than scheduled, but we still have three engines left."

Thirty minutes later the captain announced, "One more engine has
failed and the flight will take an additional two hours. But don't
worry ... we can fly just fine on two engines."

An hour later the captain announced, "One more engine has failed and
our arrival will be delayed another three hours. But don't worry ...
we still have one engine left."

A young blonde passenger turned to the man in the next seat and
remarked, "If we lose one more engine, we'll be up here all day!"
