. Nice to know.
Making the travel experience easier – Air Canada introduces free Internet
access at selected airports. Over the next few weeks, Air Canada will
introduce Internet Podiums for customers to use free of charge to purchase
tickets, modify existing online changeable reservations, as well as to use
a Latitude pass flight credit. The Internet Podium will be linked to
www.aircanada.com . In addition, it may be used by active or retired
employees to access the Employee Travel Site, at www.travel.aircanada.ca ,
to list for flights.

Spread the word… it’s business as usual at Air Canada. We need your help.
With all the news about our current situation, customers and potential
clients may express concern or anxiety about making their travel plans with
Air Canada. We are asking employees and retirees, and their families, to
act as ambassadors for the company and to loudly and repeatedly reassure
and encourage friends, neighbours and acquaintances to continue booking Air
Canada with confidence. As Robert has stated, we are about to enter the
strongest travel period of the year with our cash balances in a healthy
position. It’s business as usual at Air Canada.

Air Canada news.
Non-stop service from Toronto to Hong Kong with A340-500 to begin this
summer. With the delivery this summer of our first A340-500 aircraft, today
we announced the introduction of first-ever non-stop service from Toronto
to Hong Kong. The A340-500 is the world’s longest range airliner and
features lie-flat seats, and state-of-the-art entertainment. Effective Aug.
1, our new daily non-stop service, with a flight time of 15.5 hours, will
link eastern North America and southeast Asia with daily flights that will
cut more than four and a half hours travel time compared to other carriers’
best routings. Executive First will feature industry leading lie-flat seats
and Hospitality Service customers will enjoy, for the first time,
individually controlled video on demand with personal monitors at each
seat. The delivery of the two Airbus A340-500 aircraft will occur this
summer following successful negotiations with the Air Canada Pilots
Association (ACPA) to facilitate the expedited introduction of the ultra
long range aircraft to our fleet.

One of our colleagues needs your help and prayers. Aeroplan Customer Sales
and Service Agent Tim Cheung’s 13-year old daughter, Alicia, has a rare
brain tumour which has mystified doctors in B.C. In an effort to shed some
light on this baffling illness and hopefully find treatment to keep the
tumour at bay, Alicia has been referred to Toronto’s Sick Children’s
Hospital. To help support the family, Air Canada will provide for Alicia’s
flight through our Kids’ Horizons hospital transportation program, but the
family will be incurring additional expenses related to living out of town.
To help defray some of these costs, an Alicia Cheung Trust Account has been
set up at the Royal Bank of Canada. If you would like to help, please refer
to the article on Online Extra found at www.achorizons.ca .
