. Need to know.
For internationally-bound flights from the Infield Terminal in Toronto,
travellers are asked to be at the gate for boarding 60 minutes prior to
departure. Customer boarding passes will show the adjusted boarding times.
Furthermore, anyone connecting through Toronto to international destinations is
asked to go directly to the Infield Terminal by using the shuttle bus from T1.

TRAVELING  WITHOUT  YOUR  SPOUSE
A Spouse who maybe traveling without the Retiree, may need Air Canada
Identification when traveling on Other Airlines.   It is suggested, spouses
should photocopy the I. D. Card of the Retiree  when traveling without

From the London England monthly newsletter - July -
from Tony Coleman: Director Pionairs

I was privileged to be invited to travel on the flight described below and it
was very rewarding to see how much enjoyment the kids had on their special day.

“Dreams  Take  Flights”   news

More kids off to meet Mickey and the gang.  For the 15th year, Toronto, the
original chapter of “Dreams Take Flight”, turns wishes into reality.   Early in
the morning of 12th May, 255 physically, mentally and socially- challenged
children from Ontario and Buffalo, New York, waved goodbye to their parents,
siblings and volunteers of the Toronto chapter of Dreams Take Flight, and
boarded two Air Canada Boeing 767s bound for Walt Disney World.   For many of
these children, it was their first time on a plane or being away from their
families.   But the dream of going to Orlando, Florida, to meet Mickey Mouse
and all his friends, and trying out as many rides in a day as possible, kept
the smiles on their faces.   Much later that night they returned, happy and
very tired children with memories that will last them a lifetime.
Congratulations to all the volunteers who’ve worked hard all year long to
ensure these children’s dreams turned into reality.

Munich has become Eurpoe's first airport for Airbus A380 operations. Only five
other airports worldwide - all in Asia - currently meet the exacting standards
imposed for operations by the future airlines. The first A380 is expected to
enter service with Singapore Airlines two years from now.

Mexico Glitterati will soon be able to travel in unique style - courtesy of a
converted Boeing B727 limo. The B727 has been transformed into a state of the
art vehicle, modifying the fueslage and installing a six cylinder engine in the
rear. Naturally the wings have been removed. Equipped with hi tech video, bar,
dance floor and beds. The vehicle is available for hire at us$1000 for a three
hour ride.

Virgin Atlantic chairman Richard Bransan announced that later this summer, some
Virgin Atlantic Upper Class customers will be able to transfer from London’s
Heathrow airport to the city via the Thames River by boarding an amphibian
craft.

The Italian government recently approved a short-term bridge loan for
financially struggling Alitalia while the airline works out a new business
plan, according to media reports.

. May Day!
From Sandie Dexter This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Can help me track down a former work colleague, Jenny Hurley?
I know Jenny and her husband moved to Vancouver Island from Montreal after
she retired. I was thrilled to see her again when I did a presentation at a
Nanaimo Pionairs lunch in the late 1990s (I recall it was just prior to the
Pilots' strike). I lost her contact info, the years rush by, but now I too
am retired and want to renew acquaintance with lost friends.
I appreciate your help. Thanks. Sandie Dexter

Smilie.
A 13-year-old girl was waiting in the car with her 13-year-old friend while her
aunt ran an errand in the airport office at New York's Penn Yan Airport
recently. The aunt looked out the window and saw that the two girls were
driving the car, and ran outside to try to stop them. The girls apparently
panicked, and crashed into a hangar door, which happened to have a $37 million
jet sitting right behind it. The car got entangled with a wing, and the girls
were trapped. Both suffered minor injuries, but were released after treatment.
The jet damage was estimated at $1 million.
